The Andhra Pradesh High Court issued key orders in connection with the murder of former minister YS Vivekananda Reddy. Earlier, the CBI sought the Pulivendula magistrate to submit all records related to the murder case. However, the CBI had to approach the AP High Court as the Pulivendula Court rejected to hand them the records for investigating the case. Reacting to CBI’s plea, the top court issued orders directing the Pulivendula magistrate to submit all the records. YS Vivekananda Reddy is the uncle of AP CM YS Jaganmohan Reddy.

The investigation into YS Vivekananda Reddy’s murder case has been expedited with officials having interrogated several suspects after the investigation was handed over to the CBI. Later, the investigation had to be delayed temporarily as one of the investigating officers contracted the deadly Coronavirus. However, the CBI is said to have already collected key shreds of evidence in the case. Now, once the CBI takes possession of these case records, important suspects behind the murder could be identified soon.
