It is known that the AP Government had informed the Court regarding the ration delivery vehicles saying that they were initiated with the sole aim to provide ration to the poor at their doorstep. Though the court gave its consent, it has specified some conditions saying that colours, logos and slogans identified with the YSRCP government need to be removed. Apart from this, the court stated that even the Election Commission needs to specify its decision on the issue. As the scheme is related to the poor, the court directed the SEC to look into the matter and make a decision. This led to the SEC Nimmagadda Ramesh to personally inspect the Mobile Dispensing Units (MBUs).
It is known that the scheme which was to be initiated from February 1st has already been postponed due to the upcoming AP Gram Panchayat elections with the Model Code of Conduct having been imposed. Now, with the decision to be taken by the SEC, all eyes are now on what decision Nimmagadda Ramesh would take.
