The Greater Hyderabad elections have become a topic of discussion at the national level. The elections have gained popularity after the BJP set a special focus on the GHMC polls. The party leaders believe that there are chances of people honouring BJP this time. The political parties have not allowed BJP to spread in any other state than Karnataka. The confidence of BJP has increased after the Dubbaka polls. The party went into the field and started the campaign even before the schedule was announced.
The BJP has expedited its campaign further for the upcoming elections. The state leaders are countering the allegations of the TRS leaders. Along with the state leaders, the national leaders are also focusing on the elections. Already, BJP’s National Secretary and Rajya Sabha MP Bhupender Yadav is busy strategising the political moves. While the team comprising of ministers from various other states are involving themselves in the tasks handed out to them.
The BJYM national president Tejaswi Surya has also landed in the city and has been targeting the TRS and MIM. The BJP MP generated political heat by alleging that even a vote to TRS or MIM would make the city anarchic. In the coming days, more leaders will be visiting the city soon. Leaders like Smriti Irani, MP and former India cricketer Gautam Gambhir, Badminton player Saina Nehwal and other MLAs from north India would be visiting the city. It has to be seen how the TRS would counter this and how it would save the mayor’s seat.
