According to post-poll surveys of Dubbaka by-elections, it is expected that the victory of TRS is certain. However, will the words of Harish Rao turn true about winning more than what he got in Siddipet? Generally, in case of the by-elections which are held after the death of a member, the victory of the candidate from the family members of the deceased is certain, most of the time it is unanimous. However, the BJP and Congress decided to contest the election with the thought that the TRS government has lost its popularity. On the other hand, the TRS in a strategic move had handed a ticket to the wife of Ramalinga Reddy.
In the present scenario, chances are that there may not be a huge victory. Aaraa, which has long experience in taking up post-poll surveys, predicts TRS’ win with a margin of just 4,000 votes. Many things happened in this election. Police raided the houses of relatives of Raghunandan Rao, Telangana BJP chief Bandi Sanjay was arrested, the appointment of observers and much more but is the TRS going to win with just a four per cent majority?
As per the details released by Aaraa, TRS is likely to get 48.72 per cent votes, BJP 44.64 per cent, Congress 6.12 per cent and others 2.52 per cent. According to Mustan, the head of Aaraa, the vote difference between TRS and BJP maybe just 3 per cent. If the predictions are close to the results then it should be considered as a failure for the TRS. Their popularity is unbelievable as far as success is concerned. The BJP did not even get a deposit in the last election. If it increases to 45 per cent of the votes in this election. It means they have created a miracle. In other words, it is a warning to the ruling TRS.
