With the cold war between the AP State Election Commissioner Nimmagadda Ramesh and the ruling YSRCP government coming to an end, the first phase of the Gram Panchayat elections will be held on Tuesday. All arrangements are in place for the local body polls and polling will be held in around 2,731 panchayats initially. While officials are making sure that the ballot boxes are being transferred to the polling centres. Also, the polling officers are being briefed about their duties by the local commissioners, which include creating a sense of awareness regarding their responsibilities via training.
Meanwhile, officials tasked with the elections are making sure that free and fair polling is ensured in a peaceful atmosphere. Apart from the awareness sessions for officials, all arrangements are being made to ensure that the ballot boxes and other important stuff are being transported to all places.
