The comments of Anantapur TDP key leader JC Diwakar Reddy against TDP chief Chandrababu in an interview have turned a topic of discussion and has raised several eyebrows. JC family is having an impact on the Rayalaseema politics irrespective of political affiliation and power in the state or in Centre. However, the family has been facing many insults and also financial problems after Jagan became the Chief Minister. They have been facing cases every other day and it is said that the comments made by him are in this perspective.
Last month during the visit of Chandrababu in Anantapur JC made some controversial comments on police and a case has also been filed against him. He was in jail for more than five hours even after getting bail papers and having come out the next day (January 5) met the BJP National General Secretary Satya Kumar and it is learnt that JC is eyeing to join the BJP. When asked about joining BJP, Diwakar Reddy satirically replied saying that he would join only after Pakistan Occupied Kashmir is merged with India.
Reddy made comments saying that Chandrababu wasted his time, and though he thought it would change, he said he lost all hopes now. He made satires against Jagan during the Kadapa tour, saying that the latter affected his business, closed down travels and that his only option left is to do farming.
The biggest financial resources for the JC family are the mining, cement and travels. Though there are petrol bunks, other assets, the mining business generates more wealth. The government imposed a Rs 100 crore penalty on the family-run business Trishul Cement company and mining company had become a sensation. They had given notice that if the penalty was not paid, properties would be seized. The buses were seized alleging that the buses were illegally converted from BSIII model to BSIV model. There were attacks on JC Prabhakar Reddy and his son Ashmit Reddy. The JC brothers are worried as they feel that if these things continue, they may lose Tadipatri.
Earlier, JC Diwakar Reddy had said that he would not contest elections now, which means he would be out of politics. At the same time, his son Pavan Reddy was brought into politics. There is an opinion that Pavan Reddy is unhappy to be in TDP. Though Jagan is close to him there is no question of joining YSRCP. In this perspective, the family is looking towards BJP. The BJP does not have a strong leader and with this, the party wants to gain strength in the region.
