Jack Ma, the founder of Alibaba Group has reportedly gone missing for nearly two months and that he was not to be seen in his own talent show titled ‘Africa’s Business Heroes’. It is known that the Chinese government had been monitoring the sudden suspension of Ant’s whopping $37 billion IPO in Shanghai and Hong Kong. Even Chinese antitrust authorities began investigating Alibaba Group Holding founded by Ma over growing concerns of monopoly, while the People’s Bank of China sought radical changes to be made by the firm in its lending and other consumer finance operations. Even Ant Group was summoned for talks by the Chinese central bank on December 26th.
Interestingly, his last tweet prior to going missing was made on October 10th, 2020. Jack Ma stands 25th in the list of the world’s richest businessmen as per Bloomberg with a total net worth of $50.6 billion.
