Kangana Ranaut is going through a lot these days. Her bungalow was demolished in Mumbai, forcing the National Award-winning actress to move the court. The Bombay High Court on Saturday declared the BMC’s action of demolishing a part of actress Kangana Ranaut’s bungalow in Mumbai is illegal.
The High Court has also ordered that a valuer will be appointed to ascertain damages caused due to demolition. The court said, “The valuer will submit a report to the court after which it will pass an order on compensation to Kangana Ranaut.”
A division bench of Justices SJ Kathawalla and RI Chagla noted that the action undertaken by the civic body leaves hardly ‘any manner of doubt’ that it was unauthorized. This is a huge moral victory for Kangana as she made her office with her hard owned income.
