As more and more Tollywood stars like Prabhas, Allu Arjun, Mahesh Babu and Vijay Devarakonda are trying to set their foot in Hindi markets by opting for pan Indian subjects, the mafia which has been controlling Bollywood is also trying to enter TFI. With the rise of mafia in Tollywood, producers who make films with big stars are incurring heavy losses as it is grabbing the theatrical and non-theatrical rights for low prices in third party mode.
Even if someone from Mumbai wants to buy a Telugu film, this mafia will enter into the deal in third party mode. Non-theatrical rights for the last three Mahesh Babu’s films were sold for a paltry Rs. 45 crores and sources say that mafia made profits worth Rs.50 crores on these. This mafia is said to be selling the rights of Telugu movies for 200 percent profit margins as the demand is high because of mass elements. Hindi audiences love to watch Telugu films a lot and the mafia is said to be cashing in on this craze.
