Megastar Chiranjeevi’s latest movie (#152) ‘Acharya’s’ first look was released on the occasion of his birthday on 22nd August, 2020. Megastar’s son Ramcharan is producing the film in association with Niranjan Reddy of Matinee Entertainments. Kajal Agarwal is paired opposite Megastar.
As per sources, the movie’s theme is all about the ill effects that take place when the society neglects to take care of temples. Megastar is playing double roles in the movie. Also, a key character will be essayed by either Ramcharan or Rana Daggubati.
Music Director Manisharma is collaborating with Megastar after a very long gap. He has given several hit songs to Megastar. But, they both did not work together after ‘Jai Chiranjeeva’. Manisharma is now working for Acharya. Mani’s latest superhit music was for ‘Ismart Shankar’ directed by Puri Jagannadh.
The movie would have completed the shoot by now, if not for outbreak of Covid which has disrupted and stalled all shootings. The movie unit initially planned to shoot some portions of the film in a popular temple, but due to the lockdown restrictions, the movie unit is now planning to build a temple set on the outskirts of Hyderabad. Acharya is slated to release next summer.
