It is a known fact that the heavy rains are still haunting the city of Hyderabad. There are chances of rains inundating Hyderabad for a few more days. In this scenario, MAUD and TRS working president KTR has ordered every legislator under the Greater limits to stay in Hyderabad only. It is learnt that he has asked the party MLAs to stay in the areas affected by heavy rains and be of assistance to people. He held a review meeting with Greater MLAs, Mayor, Deputy Mayor and officials, and directed them to ensure compensation provided by CM KCR reaches those affected by the floods.
MP, MLAs provide financial support
It is learnt that the MPs, MLAs, MLCs under the Greater limits have decided to give their two months’ salary to the CM relief fund. The minister has directed the MLAs to instil confidence among the public. With the rains receding, they are asked to supervise the relief measures being provided to the affected people. He wanted officials to immediately take up sanitation works, road repairs and drainages.
Exams postponed
The government has postponed all scheduled examinations in Telangana. It is learnt that the decision was taken because of heavy rains. The exams have been postponed till Dasara. New dates would be announced after the festival. The final semester exams of PG will be organized from October 27. The government is likely to announce a schedule for taking up exams from October 27 to November 1. Similarly, the last date for payment of application fee without penalty for PG entrance exam, CPGET, is decided as October 23.
