JanaSena Chief Pawan Kalyan who planned to hold a public meeting at Tuni’s Kothapakala on Saturday had to face a setback, as police denied the permit for the event. Around four days earlier, the local JanaSena leaders had visited the Tuni Police Station and applied for permission to hold the event. They even met the district SP and informed about the details regarding Pawan’s public meeting. To this, the SP gave the consent orally saying the public meeting could be organized, and then the application was submitted in a proper manner along with Pawan’s route map.
On Friday noon, the JanaSena leaders received a phone call from Tuni police station saying that they could come and collect the permission letter. But the whole situation changed within minutes, as the district SP Abdul Nayeem Hashmi called a press meet and announced that Pawan Kalyan has not been granted permission to hold the public meeting. The JanaSena lashed out on not being granted a permit and made it clear that they would go ahead with their plans. They also released an official press release stating that they would hold the public meeting as planned. It is learnt that the JanaSena Chief has taken the issue seriously.
