Payal Ghosh had made headlines recently with her ‘me too’ allegations against Anurag Kashyap. She starred in Telugu films such as Prayanam, Oosaravelli and Mr Rascal along with a Bollywood flick named Patel Ki Punjabi Shaadi. She complained that Anurag Kashyap in 2003 had harassed her sexually in Mumbai. Anurag condemned her allegations by saying that he was in Sri Lanka at that time, while another actress Richa Chadha filed a defamation case on Payal for dragging her name into the issue.
Recently Payal Ghosh entered politics by joining Central Minister Ramdas Athawale’s ‘Republican Party of India’. She was made the Vice President of its women’s wing and Ramdas said her inclusion will bring strength to the party.
