Baahubali movies have made Prabhas a true Pan-Indian star and his craze shook every nook and corner of the nation. His image went from being the ‘Darling Star’ of Tollywood to the ‘Most wanted hero on the Indian screen’. All his upcoming films are high-budget outings and no maker is thinking of making a film with him with a budget less than 300 crores. It seems it’s the end for South Indian beauties to star opposite him as they are unable to match up to his range.
Producers now prefer Bollywood beauties to star opposite Prabhas in order to suit his Pan-Indian appeal. We have earlier seen him romancing Shraddha Kappor in ‘Saaho’. Even though it failed at Tollywood box office, ‘Saaho’ collected handsomely in Hindi and stood as a commercial hit. As director Sujeeth planned to release the film in Hindi, he brought Shraddha on board, a decision which has given the desired result.
His upcoming film with ‘Vyjayanthi Movies’ banner under Nag Ashwin’s direction has Deepika Padukone as the female lead. It is made with an exorbitant budget of Rs.500 crores and is touted to be a socio-fantasy. It will be released in Hindi along with all South-Indian languages. Another upcoming film of Prabhas, ‘Adipurush’ was announced recently under the direction of Om Raut. He is playing the role of Lord Rama in this movie while Saif Ali Khan is donning the demon king Ravana’s character. Sources say that Kiara Advani has been roped in to play ‘Seeta’. ‘Adi Purush is made with a lavish budget of 500 crores.
Grapevine says that ‘KGF’ director Prashant Neel is interested to do a film with Prabhas. According to industry circles, it is being planned on a national level with big budgets, and makers are planning to rope in a hot and happening B’town actress. Lately, Prabhas has become a synonym for ‘Pan –India’ and directors and producers can’t think of anyone except him in that slot.
