‘Reel world’ is a strange place where role-reversal is a most common thing. An actress who played hero’s love becomes his sister in another movie and an actress who played mother-in-law to your favourite star becomes his wife in a different flick. This sort of thing is going to happen in Balayya’s film with Boyapati now. Nandamuri Balakrishna is going to play a dual role in this film and veteran actress Jayapradha has been casted to play the leading lady opposite one of the characters.
Jayaprada was a leading actress who acted along with top stars such as NTR, ANR, Krishna, Sobhan Babu and Krishnam Raju. She even shared screen space with Megastar Chiranjeevi. She acted as mother-in-law to Balakrishna in ‘Maharadhi’ which was released 13 years ago. Now her role opposite Balayya as a leading lady has become the topic of interest in the industry circles.
This film has already completed its first schedule before the lockdown. Director Boyapati Srinu is said to have made several changes to the script during lockdown and accommodated Jayaprada’s role. She is playing the lead role opposite the ‘Aghora’ character of Balakrishna. The regular shooting is going to resume soon and the team is planning to release it in the coming April. Let’s see whether this peculiar combination of ‘Balayya-Jayaprada’ appeals to audience or not.
