Kimidi Kala Venkata Rao, the former AP TDP chief and Politburo member has been put under house arrest by police at his Rajam residence. The police confined the senior TDP leader to his residence when he tried to visit the TDP President of Andhra Pradesh K Atchannaidu who was arrested at Nimmada in Srikakulam district. The police went to Kimidi Kala Venkata Rao’s residence and handed him relevant notices, instructing him not to leave the four walls. This led to the TDP leader vent his ire against the police behaviour. Meanwhile, it is known that the AP Police on Tuesday had arrested the K Atchannaidu in a case related to criminal intimidation. A case was filed for having threatened and intimidated Appanna, a candidate backed by the ruling YSRCP to withdraw his nomination. Atchannaidu has been taken to the Kotabommali Police Station in Srikakulam district. After medical tests, Atchannaidu was taken to the court.
