After the success of Apne film in 2007, the Deols are teaming up once again for the sequel of the movie. What’s more interesting is that the film will feature three generations of Deols. Dharmendra, Sunny and Abhay Deols have shared the news via their social media handles. With the latest addition of Karan Deol (grandson of Dharmendra) from the family, the film will have three generations of Deols. Anil Sharma will direct the film and the shooting will commence from March next year. The film is slated for release in Diwali 2021.

In the Apne film which was released in 2007, Dharmendra played the role of a boxer, who envisioned to see his sons as boxing champions. Sunny and Bobby Deol played the roles of aspiring boxers in the film. The other cast of the film includes Shilpa Shetty, Kirron Kher and Katrina Kaif.
