IPS and IAS officers belong to the highest cadre among officials working in the Indian government. Usually, we only see these bureaucrats neatly dressed in formals, wearing a blazer or suit and working in top government offices. For the common man, they are equivalent to that of a District Collector or SP. However, it is very rare to see such officials working at ground level amongst ordinary citizens.
A rare incident took place on Wednesday
Chittoor District Collector Dr Narayana Bharat Gupta, Tirupati Urban SP Ramesh Reddy and Tirupati Municipal Commissioner Girisha PS were on a visit to Pudi Village in Thottambedu Mandal of Chittoor District. On coming across the green fields in the scenic village atmosphere, the officials couldn’t resist themselves from getting into the field to sow crops along with the farmers in the village. They remembered their childhood days when they had sowed crops having hailed from a family of agriculturists. They got down with their pants and helped the farmers in sowing the crops, this gesture by the IAS and IPS officials left the farmers speechless. Surely, youngsters of this generation need to learn some life lessons from these dynamic bureaucrats.
