When Jakkanna Rajamouli started RRR in 2019, he proudly said that he is going to release it on January 8th, 2021. Pandemic crushed his plans under its iron claws which made Rajamouli resume the shoot just before a month.
As the original Sankranthi-2021 plan got spoiled, Rajamouli is currently canning the scenes at stellar speeds and is keen on releasing the film for the coming Dussehra. Apart from filming with the leading cast, Jakkanna has also started the post-production work of RRR.
Ram Charan who is playing the role of Alluri Sitarama Raju in RRR tested positive for COVID on Tuesday. For now, Rajamouli has to shoot the portions of NTR and the remaining cast until Cherry gets well. This is making the industry insiders speculate that RRR will be postponed to Sankranthi-2022.
We have to wait for an official announcement from Jakkanna to get clarity on the release date of this India’s most awaited magnum opus.
