Usually, we witness men resorting to heinous crimes against women for having turned down marriage proposals. Several cases of women being attacked with acid, stabbing and brutal assault are reported on a daily basis in our society. However, in Pavani’s case, it is totally different. She stabbed and killed her boyfriend for having rejected her marriage proposal.

Pavani hails from Malakapalli village in Thallapudi Mandal in West Godavari District of Andhra Pradesh State. Now, the woman has been in love with Ambati Karunatataji Naidu of Tadepalligudem’s Pathuru for two years. It is learnt that the woman had been requesting the man to marry her for a year. However, Tataji who was reluctant to marry her didn’t pay heed to her requests. Meanwhile, Pavani suspected Tataji of having a love affair with another woman.
On Monday, Tataji returned to his native on the occasion of Sankranti. While Pavani came to meet him from Malakapalli and both of them spent time together till late evening. While returning back to their homes on a motorcycle, Pavani who was sitting on the rear side took a knife out from her bag and stabbed Tataji continuously on the head, neck and back. This led to the man collapse immediately and succumb to his injuries. Passers-by who noticed the incident informed about the incident to the police. Pavani is currently in police custody.
