The Tollywood movie industry is witnessing an all-time low this year due to the Covid pandemic and both the stars and fans are left disappointed due to these strange circumstances. But the tinsel town is planning meticulously to light up the coming Sankranti season with star-studded releases.
Under usual circumstances, big movies with super stars would line up for release during Sankranti, but Covid has had a big impact leading to change of plans. SS Rajamouli wanted to release his magnum opus RRR for 2021 Sankranti but due to the break in shooting because of Covid, in all probability the release date will be postponed. Two of the most awaited movies of 2021 namely Chiranjeevi’s ‘Acharya’ and Prabhas’s ‘Radhe Shyam’ are nowhere near completion and stand no chance to release during Sankranti.
Nandamuri Balakrishna and Boyapati’s film and Venki and Nagarjuna starrers are also not releasing for Sankranti as planned earlier.
So Sankranti 2021 will be big opportunity for young heroes who can prove their mettle at the box office. Ram’s ‘RED’, Akhil’s ‘’Most Eligible Bachelor, Nithin’s ‘Rang De’ and Sharwanand’s ‘Srikaram’ along with a couple of other films are ready to test their luck at Sankranti box office for 2021 and let’s wait and see who steals the crown.
