At a time when temples in the state are being attacked, AP Endowments Minister Vellampalli Srinivas is targeting those who are questioning the government. Even before him, YSRCP RS MP V Vijayasai Reddy visited Ramatheertham and made a huge mess of the situation. While he was getting ready to follow the directions from the party, he gave another order through the Visakha Sharada Peetham. Now confused over what to speak, the Endowments Minister spoke about irrelevant issues. Maybe he was afraid of losing the minister’s post because he had no clue what he was speaking. He made comments like a useless person, and even went on to term former Union minister Ashok Gajapati Raju a fool.
Isn’t a Minister responsible?
When reporters questioned the removal of Ashok Gajapati Raju from the chairmanship of 104 temples in the state, the minister lashed out at the senior TDP leader blaming him for the Ramatheertham vandalism. Gajapati Raju still did not utter a word on this. If the chairman has a responsibility, then how seriously should a minister behave?
Ashok Gajapati Raju is chairman of Ramatheertham not because he is a political leader or minister. His ancestors had constructed the temple and he is chairman because he is from the Pusapati dynasty. The region always respects the Pusapati family ignoring individual issues. With the minister abusing Gajapati Raju, the Kshatriyas have turned furious.
The Kshatriyas from Srikakulam to Chittoor are condemning the comments of the minister and demanding resignation of the minister. The BJP might have expressed the same demand ten times till now and is demanding in a strong manner. With the issue sparking massive outrage, the minister fears that he might lose the post. The complaint on the behaviour of the minister has already reached the high command as there are allegations that he was indulging in cheap tactics in small issues. He has gone silent in Vizianagaram district with the fear of Vijay Sai Reddy but shows his supremacy in other places. It is said that he is likely to be axed as the issue is related to sentiments of the people.
