To repeat the grand success of iSmart Shankar, Energetic Star Ram helmed an out and out mass entertainer RED directed by Kishore Tirumala. This is the remake of Tamil blockbuster Thadam and Ram is playing a dual role in it.
While Ram’s uncle Sravanthi Ravi Kishore is bankrolling the project, Nivetha Pethuraj, Amritha Aiyer, and Malavika Sharma are playing the female leads. Music by Mani Sharma is the major highlight of the film. RED’s Telugu version is hitting the theatres on January 14th on the account of Sankranthi.
The makers have decided to release it in not one or two but eight languages namely Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam, Hindi, Bengali, Bhojpuri, and Marathi. The theatrical release in all the languages except Telugu is reserved for the end of the month and the Tamil version will see the OTT release.
Considering the crowd-pulling capacity of Ram in overseas markets, RED will be released in Australia, the USA, Singapore, and Dubai also.
