Power Star started his second innings with Vakeel Saab which is the remake of Bollywood blockbuster Pink. While Anjali, Nivetha Thomas, Ananya, and Prakash Raj are playing pivotal roles in the film, Shruti Haasan is playing the female lead against opposite Pawan Kalyan.
Amitabh Bachchan who played the protagonist role in Pink doesn’t have a heroine and this made Pawan’s fans scratch their heads about the inclusion of Shruti. But director Venu Sriram reportedly planned a flashback episode to accommodate Pawan mark nuances into the film. So Shruti will probably appear in the flashback portions of Vakeel Saab as the main plot of it showcases the hero as a loner.
Speaking in a recent media interaction, Shruti said ‘I can’t term my role in Vakeel Saab as a heroine. But at the same time, it is so important in the film that the audiences can’t forget my appearance. I will never leave the opportunity to star opposite Pawan Kalyan at any instance’.
