Republic Media Chief Editor Arnab Goswami announced that Republic TV channels will soon be launched in all local languages of each state under the Global Media Project. Arnab Goswami, who was arrested in connection with the case of abetment of suicide of an interior designer’s family in Mumbai, was finally released on bail eight days later.
Goswami, who was released on bail from Taloja jail in Maharashtra on Wednesday night, was given a grand welcome by the people. Goswami, who visited the Lower Parel studio for the first-time post bail, made it clear that he would work with more enthusiasm in collaboration with Republic TV employees.
The game has just begun
Arnab Goswami, who was released on bail, addressed the staff at Republic Studio. It has been announced that channels in local languages will be launched in all the States. While his remarks ‘the game has just begun’, might indicate a possibility of him taking a political plunge. He revealed that Republic Channels will be launched in every state in the coming year. Arnab’s potshots against the Shiv Sena such as ‘channels can start even from jail and you can do nothing to me’ have become a trend in Indian politics. He also announced that he would be starting the Republic International Media Project in the next 16 months.
It is people’s victory
He told the people welcoming him that his release from jail on the orders of the Supreme Court is people’s victory. The apex court held that the Bombay High Court had erred in denying interim bail to Arnab Goswami. The Republic TV chief was finally released from jail after eight days on Wednesday night on a bail of Rs 50,000 as per the court orders.
