Rajan-Nagendra duo reigned TFI with their music for more than three decades. Rajan passed away in his residence in Bengaluru on Sunday night. He was 85. His brother Nagendra passed away earlier in 2000. Rajan and Nagendra composed music for several Telugu and Kannada movies.
They debuted as music directors with Sowbhaga Lakshmi in 1952 and went on to score music for major hits across South Indian film industries for 37 years. Films such as Aggi Pidugu, Pantul amma, Moodu Mullu, Prema Khaidi, Naalugu Sthambhaalaata, Nagamalli and Puli Bebbuli show their extraordinary talent. Film industry is mourning his loss.
