Colour Photo generated a huge buzz among the OTT releases with its heart-touching unique content. Comedian Suhas turned hero with it and Chandini Chowdhary plays his love interest. While Sunil plays a character with grey shades. It is produced by Sai Rajesh Neelam and Benny Muppaneni under Loukya Entertainments and Vaibhav Productions banner. It is directed by Sandeep Raj and has been released on Aha OTT platform. Let’s delve into the details.
Plot
This is the story of a guy named Jayakrishna who feels inferior about his dark complexion. He falls in love with Deepthi Varma AKA Deepu but never tries to approach her due to his Inferiority complex. Jayakrishna gets beaten in college publicly and this results in Deepu being introduced to him. Their friendship slowly turns into love and her brother SI Ramaraju (Sunil) comes to know about it. This irks Ramaraju and the rest of the proceedings constitute whether the couple succeed in their love or not.
Analysis
Even though the plot is old, the director has succeeded in infusing the ‘colour’ element into the film. The screenplay is a bit jerky and the chemistry between the lead pair appears to be a forced one. Suhas has excelled in his role but director Sandeep failed to elevate the emotions in the film to the desired extent. Kaala Bhairava’s music and background score are up to the mark.
Most of the artists have done justice to their roles in this over melodramatic outing. Makers have taken freedom in the usage of ‘cuss’ words as they opted for the OTT release and this ruins the watching experience with the whole family. Viva Harsha’s dialogues worked out well and songs are the main strength for Colour Photo. The last half-an-hour is the major highlight of this film as proceedings on the screen infuse life into it.
