The appointment of IAS officer Adityanath Das as the new AP Chief Secretary has been rightly predicted by Leo News. The AP government on Tuesday released orders related to the appointment of the top bureaucrat. The new Chief Secretary will take charge on December 31, 2020, as the tenure of the current CS Neelam Sawhney ends this month. It is known that Adityanath Das has already been handed over key responsibilities in the CMO. In addition to his experience of working in various branches, Adityanath Das is known to be a non-controversial figure. Also, he currently serves as the Principal Secretary in the Water Resources Department.
Neelam Sawhney appointed Chief Advisor
The AP state government has issued orders appointing the current Chief Secretary Neelam Sawhney, as her tenure ends this month, as the Chief Advisor to the CM. Already, the 1984 batch Indian Administrative Service officer’s tenure had been extended twice, for an additional six months. Since her tenure cannot be extended any further the government chose Adityanath Das for the post over others in the seniority list. Recently, IAS officer Yerra Srilakshmi who was involved in the CBI cases along with CM YS Jagan was transferred to the AP cadre and has been immediately appointed as the secretary to Urban Development.
