We all know that ‘Young Rebel Star’ Prabhas has committed to do a straight Bollywood film titled ‘Adipurush’. It is directed by ‘Tanhaji’ fame Om Raut and is based on Ramayana. Speculations are rife on who will play ‘Sita’ in this film. Keerthy Suresh, Priyanka Chopra, Kiara Advani and Anushka Sharma’s names are said to be under consideration for this role. Latest grapevine is ‘Baahubali’ actress and Prabhas’s good friend Anushka Shetty is going to play Sita’s role in ‘Adipurush’. The on-screen chemistry between Prabhas and Anushka scorches the screen every time they appear together. The duo had earlier appeared in ‘Billa’, ‘Mirchi’ and ‘Baahubali’ series.
Anushka’s latest movie ‘Nishabdham’ directed by Hemant Madhukar is releasing on Amazon Prime tomorrow. She has punctured rumours of her being considered for Adipurush. “I haven’t got any such offer. It is just a rumour. My focus is completely on South Indian films for now. Prabhas is a dear friend of mine and I am ready to act with him whenever an opportunity comes,” Anushka said in a press meet.
