Are the enemies of Union Minister Kishan Reddy in his own party? Are they deliberately trying to defame him… the party cadre says so? Kishan Reddy has been accorded a dignified position by the national leadership and was also given the post of Union Home Minister. By giving a ministerial post in his first attempt as MP, the BJP national leadership ascertained that party loyalists would be given top priority. Even though he is a Union Minister, he tries his best at the field level to inspire party workers. Though criticism is that Kishan Reddy is acting as an Amberpet MLA. However, he continues to do his job without paying much attention to allegations.
Rampant criticism on social media
Kishan Reddy has been criticised on social media platforms of late, for failing to act according to his political stature. Reportedly party fans expressed their frustration against Kishan by recalling incidents of Karimnagar police raid on Sanjay in the past, the behaviour of Siddipet commissioner during Dubbaka bypolls. They are disappointed by the senior BJP leader’s soft stand despite being the MoS for Home Affairs. The gist of social media posts is that the Union minister is reluctant to face the TRS party.
An MP within the party behind all of this
Speculations are that an MP within the party for his own selfishness had orchestrated the smear campaign. He joined the party prior to the previous elections and had even won as an MP. He earned a good name in the party and in public by criticising Chief Minister KCR and Minister KTR. There are allegations that he is blaming the Union Minister on social media platforms and also inciting public outcry. There is a talk in party circles that he hopes to oust Kishan Reddy and take his place.
Party leaders feel Congress MP Revanth Reddy was being incited to attack Kishan Reddy. It is known that Revanth Reddy had been targeting the BJP for some time now. While BJP leaders argue that it’s a real conspiracy to defame Kishan Reddy.
