The city of Hyderabad which has MMTS and Metro services will now take advantage of bullet trains as part of the high-speed rail corridor network. The Hyderabad-Pune-Mumbai high-speed rail corridor will cover a distance of 711 kms and once completed it would drastically reduce the travel time between the three cities. The Central Government intends to begin the work next year and wrap it up by 2026. A tender has also been floated for preparing a detailed project report and a pre-bid meet will be held on November 5th.
