The news about Telugu Desam Party, which is the main opposition party deteriorating day by day is creating interest. Well, the arguments hold true if the behaviours of legislators who have got elected on a TDP ticket are observed closely. The incident of Leader of Opposition Nara Chandrababu Naidu’s behaviour in the Assembly sessions on the first day and the attitude of the other TDP MLAs prove that it is deteriorating in the state.
The TDP had won 23 seats in the last elections… after one or two leaders deserted the party, there were still 20 MLAs. The MLAs should come to the Assembly with a strategy and should take the lead in the protests without giving a chance to the leader of the opposition. However, there was no such strategy among TDP MLAs in the House on Monday. Sadly, when Chandrababu single-handedly revolted against the ruling party in his own style the TDP MLAs were seen taking things lightly.
Ironically, only 13 MLAs of the total 20 MLAs attended the Assembly on the first day of the winter session, which shows their seriousness. When Chandrababu Naidu, being the leader of the opposition came and sat on the floor, the other MLAs did not sit along with him. The YSRCP MLA mocked stating that the TDP MLAs were not listening to their chief. There is a version that the TDP MLAs should change their attitude immediately.
