As promised by the YSRCP chief and AP CM YS Jaganmohan Reddy, the cabinet reshuffle would be taken up a year after. There have been discussions on who would make it into the cabinet this time. Rumours are rife that women would get more chances. At present, Mekathoti Sucharita, Pamula Pushpa Sreevani and Taneti Vanitha are the three women in the cabinet. All of them are reserved category leaders. With this two of the general category women are likely to get the chance.
While taking a look at the serial number Pathapatnam MLA Reddy Shanti’s name would be first in the list. In fact, Kalyandurg MLA of Anantapur district KV Ushashri Charan was doing rounds… but she has differences with MP Rangaiah. With this, the name of Reddy Shanti is being considered. Being a non-controversial person and dedicated worker of the party is her added advantage.
Shanti who contested on YSRCP ticket is loyal to the YS family. She knows where to talk and how to take people along. These qualities are making her the first choice for the post.
While the other leaders are looked upon…they have indulged in having upper hand over each other and embarrassing the party. Moreover, there are allegations that they are not meeting the people in the constituency. However, Shanti is always available to the people and whatever program she takes up, Jagan’s name will always be there. Having no disputes with Vijay Sai Reddy is also an added advantage. It is believed that if the cabinet is reshuffled, Reddy Shanti will be in the cabinet.
