Lieutenant General Paramjit Singh, the Director-General of Military Operations (DGMO) on Friday refuted media reports that claimed India had launched precision strikes on terror launch pads across POK. It was stated that the strikes were based following an analysis of the ceasefire violations by Pakistan on November 13th. “Reports of Indian Army’s action in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) across the Line of Control are fake,” the DGMO said, adding that was no firing from the Indian side on November 19th.
However, it is true that Pakistan had resorted to intensive shelling along the LOC and border outposts of the International Border in Kathua District of Jammu and Kashmir were mainly targeted. According to officials, a woman on the Indian side was injured in the shelling carried out by the Pakistan Rangers. The villages of Manyari, Sapwal and Karol Krishna in J&K bore the brunt of heavy shelling by Pakistan.
