The party has not learnt lessons even after the Huzurnagar, Dubbaka by-elections and GHMC elections and still, the infighting continues. The notification for the Nagarjuna Sagar is likely to come at any time but there is no activeness in the party but still, they claim to be coming into power. You might have understood to whom we are referring to. This is all about Congress and the situation of the party has turned into a ship without a captain.
Very soon there will be elections to two MLC seats in Telangana. The election is for Graduates constituencies of Warangal-Nalgonda-Khammam and Hyderabad-Rangareddy-Mahabubnagar. All the parties except the Congress party are ready for the elections. For Warangal-Nalgonda-Khammam, Palla Rajeshwar Reddy’s name is almost finalized as he has been taking up programs urging people to vote for him. BJP has nominated G Premender Reddy, senior journalist Vijay Saradhi Reddy is the candidate of the left parties. From TJS Kodandaram, Yuva Telangana Party Rani Rudrama and independent candidate Teenmar Malanna are in the fray. From Congress party, Telangana secretary Manavata Rai’s name is being heard.
From Hyderabad-Rangareddy-Mahabubnagar sitting member Ramchander Rao is the candidate from BJP, Prof Nageshwar is also in the field. From Telangana Inti-Party Cheruku Sudhakar Reddy, from RLD Dileep Kumar are in the fray. Except for the Congress party, all are ready for the election as the candidates have been finalized. There is a doubt whether the Congress would contest or support other party candidates. The cadre is agitated on the delay by the party leadership in announcing the candidature.
Compared to the general elections, the campaign for the Graduates MLC election is different. The candidates should make the voters aware of the failures of the government and attract the youth on the recruitment. In this situation, while the other parties are forward, the Congress seems to be lagging behind.
