In India, it isn’t new for convicts to be hanged to death. However, a woman convict has never been hanged in India to date. Never has there been such instances wherein a woman committed such unpardonable crimes that they needed to be hanged. Now, for the first time a woman convict Shabnam Ali awaits the death warrant along with her lover Salim. Wondering what she did to deserve such a verdict? Well, Shabnam along with Salim murdered seven of her family members in 2008. She allegedly spiked their drink with sedatives and slit their throats. Later, she cooked up a story saying that unidentified miscreants had targeted her family. It was following a police investigation that Shabnam had spilt the beans saying that she killed her family members along with her lover, fearing they would object to their relationship.
Shockingly! Shabnam is also a dual degree holder in MA. On April 14, 2008, she killed her parents, two brothers and their wives and her nephew (10 months old) in Bawankhedi village of Amroha district in Uttar Pradesh.
