It is known that Gadwal Vijayalakshmi had been elected as the GHMC Mayor on Friday. On the occasion, several well-wishers and admirers put up hoardings congratulating the Banjara Hills Corporator on having been chosen the first citizen of Hyderabad. However, the GHMC took cognizance of such illegal hoardings being placed at some locations in the city. The city administration took action after a person on Twitter put up images of the hoardings. This led to the officials’ issue challans to those persons responsible for having put up the congratulatory flexes. Wondering how much fine was imposed? Well, a fine of 4.15 lakhs was imposed. Overall four challans were issued – for one hoarding 2 lakhs, two others a lakh each and 15,000 for one hoarding.
Hello @Director_EVDM @CEC_EVDM, Can you please convey Mr. Atish Agarwal “special thanks” on behalf of the first citizen for dirtying the city! @GadwalvijayaTRS
