No one thought that this macho looking guy will turn into a Pan-Indian star when he faced the camera for the first time in Ramanaidu studios way back in 2002. He not only took the legacy of his uncle Krishnam Raju but also took his screen tag Rebel Star and became Young Rebel Star. In his 18 years of journey, he witnessed amazing heights and experienced lows also. He is none other than our favourite Pan-Indian star Prabhas. Today is his 41st birthday.
Prabhas was born to Uppalapati Suryanaryana Raju and Siva Kumari on October 23rd, 1979. He started his career with Eeswar which was released in 2002. It was an average grosser and his second film Raghavendra was a disaster. Prabhas has seen his first success with Varsham. Rajamouli’s Chatrapathi took his stardom to new heights. Darling and Mr. Perfect showcased the actor in him.
Prabhas took a courageous decision to spend his next five years for Rajamouli’s Baahubali series in 2012 which paid great dividends to him. Baahubali movies made Prabhas a true Pan-Indian star and he has now become the most sought after star on the Indian screen. His last outing Saaho substantiated his hold in the Hindi markets and proved that Prabhas is not a one-film wonder. His upcoming films Radhe Shyam and Adipurush are being made on global scale owing to his big star status.
TLN wishes Prabhas a happy birthday and much more success in the coming year and always!
