Film industry is a free target to everybody in India who wants to create some buzz. A section of right wing organizations make outrageous demands to film makers whenever a movie releases. We all saw what happened to Padmaavat and the harassment faced by ace filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali. Recently Harish Shankar’s Valmiki met with a controversy by a section of people leading to change of title to Gaddalakonda Ganesh.
A similar demand to change the title of Laxmmi Bomb is on the rise now. Hindu Sena, a right-wing organization demanded the makers of the film to change the title. They said that the title is hurting their sentiments as it is ridiculing Goddess Lakshmi revered by Hindus. Khiladi Akshay Kumar stars in this Raghava Lawrence film which is a remake of Tamil film Muni 2: Kanchana released in 2011.
Hindu Sena warned the film’s team that they will stall the release if the makers don’t change the title. Let’s wait and see whether the makers succumb to the pressure of protestors or not.
