Revanth works at the TTD SGS Arts College in Tirupati. He married a young woman from Bangalore five months ago. Apart from harassing his wife post marriage, he recently portrayed her as a call girl. It is also learnt that the man had been harassing her physically and mentally from a long time. Sadly, even the young woman’s plea to her mother-in-law about her husband’s torture went in vain.

Two days ago, when his wife said she would go to her mother’s house, he agreed, but later lodged a complaint with the police alleging that she had taken away Rs 10 lakh cash and gold ornaments from his house. He posted the intimate pictures of his wife to his friends’ WhatsApp group. Dejected after knowing this from her friends, she approached Disha police station in Tirupati and also showed the injuries.
While the police called Revanth to the station, he abused his wife and her relatives. He told her that it is a petty case and would pay Rs 1,000 as a penalty and leave the premises. The family members along with the victim protested at the residence of Revanth. The authorities sent Disha DSP to the victim and assured to book a non-bailable case against her husband. The victim also lodged a complaint with the Alipiri police station. The police arrested Revanth and his mother Prasanna Jyothi on Wednesday night.
His wife said that he was behaving like this with the blessing of YSRCP leader Gorantla Madhav. The victim questioned how justice would be rendered when people like these have blessings of higher-ups. She requested the government to do justice. She alleged that some policemen were also supporting him.
