The attacks on Hindu temples and idols of Gods’ and Goddesses’ in Andhra Pradesh has not ended. In the latest attack, unidentified men demolished the dome of Kasivisvesvara temple in Patakomanapalli village of Srikakulam district’s Hiramandalam. The incident shocked localites and even the police. The miscreants took only the coins found in the filling pot at the top of the temple.

As per preliminary details given by the Hiramandalam SI K Govinda Rao the temple is located two kilometres away from Patakomanapalli village. It has been identified that the miscreants who targeted the temple and took away old coins of antique value. Four coins dating back to 1943 were found lying at the site. However, the Pathapatnam CI Ravi Prasad stated that the miscreants might’ve resorted to the act to steal the old coins located in the temple.
