Versatile director Krish is making a film with Vaishnav Teja based on a famous novel called ‘Kondapolam’. This novel portrays the lives of people who go to hills with their cattle and stay there waiting for rains. If it rains, they will cultivate makeshift crops and return to the villages with the harvest. They have to live carefully as wild animals pose threat to them on a daily basis. This film is based on these characters.
Krish is known for his sensible films such as ‘Gamyam’, ‘Vedam’, ‘Krishnam Vande Jagadgurum’ and ‘Kanche’. These are not regular commercial potboilers and have emotional depth in their content. ‘NTR’ series left a major dent in his career and Krish needs a strong commercial come back to re-establish his hold in the industry. His upcoming film with Pawan Kalyan titled ‘Virupaksha’ is a periodic drama in which Power Star plays a character that has shades of ‘Robin Hood’. As there is still time for it to start, Krish wanted to do a quickie with Vaishnav Tej.
Krish selected megastar’s nephew Vaishnav Tej to play the lead role in this film. Vaishnav Tej has already starred in ‘Uppena’ which is ready for its release. ‘Kondapolam’ was written by Nannapareddy Venkatarami Reddy, and it even won a prize of Rs.2 lakhs at TANA competition. Industry circles are confused about its selection by Krish to make a film as the story doesn’t have any elements of heroism and adventures. People who live around Nallamala forest generally tend to go the hills to feed their cattle when they don’t have rainfall. This is the basic plot and Krish will have to add lot of commercial elements and drama to make it watchable. Let’s wish all the best for this experimental film by Krish.
