A key bill brought by the Centre regarding the powers of the Lieutenant Governor came into force. According to this, the highest decision-making power in Delhi will no longer be vested in the Lieutenant Governor. That is, any decision taken by CM Arvind Kejriwal will be implemented only if it is approved by the Lieutenant Governor. The Union Home Ministry has also issued a notification to this effect. The law came into force yesterday. The bill was approved by Parliament in March last year and approved by the President. The lieutenant governor will take the decision of the government in Delhi. Responding to this, Kejriwal said that cutting off government powers was an insult to the people.
