In Telangana, a political interview aired on Sunday has turned into a topic of discussion. TPCC Working President Revanth Reddy’s interview was aired on 10tv. There would have been no debate if Revanth Reddy’s interview was aired on ABN, V6, RAJ NEWS, NTV, TV5 and ETV. But the discussion is on because of 10tv, which Revanth’s supporters allege that their leader has been targeted by the channel in the past. However, Revanth Reddy’s fans were shocked to see an interview that too a positive one.
Since many years back, Revanth Reddy has been making comments targeting Rameswar Rao Jupally, who is one of the key persons in the TV group. Some time ago, when a revenue employee was arrested by the ACB with Rs 12 lakh, it was alleged on TV that the money belonged to Revanth. Even after Revanth Reddy’s name came up in the TPCC race… there were special programmes aired against the Malkajgiri LS MP. This led to a rivalry between Revanth and the TV group.
Moreover, both Congress MP Revanth Reddy and BJP MP Dharmapuri Arvind made serious allegations against Rameshwara Rao. Arvind has been making serious allegations while claiming that he had worked in that group in the past. In recent times, there have been articles in Raj News targeting Rameshwara Rao. It is also learned that Rameshwara Rao and My Home Group have filed defamation suits in the case.
In these circumstances, it is being discussed as to why the interview was aired. It is said that more such interviews would be aired in the coming days. There is another thing here. Rameshwara Rao is the head of My Home Group, which is known for many spiritual activities led by Chinna Jeeyar Swamy. Many videos are in social media about spiritual activities like yoga, puja, etc. There are good relations with BJP leaders and speculations in social media are that the BJP has offered a post to Rameshwara Rao. However, there has been no official reports yet.
On the other hand, after the recent KCR’s Delhi tour, there were reports on some websites that the BJP was of the opinion that the alliance was better than the controversy. It would be clear whether these are facts or propaganda only as per the political equations in the coming days.
