Everyone knows that controversial director RGV’s upcoming film Murder is based on the barbaric murder of Pranay which happened in Miryalaguda in 2018. The main accused in this case Maruthi Rao hanged himself awhile ago. RGV who makes films on real-life sensational incidents made a film on this lending deaf ear to Pranay’s wife Amrutha’s protests.
She along with Pranay’s parents approached the District Court in Nalgonda which imposed a stay on the release of the film. But RGV’s team moved this matter to the apex court of Telangana and stressed that the film is not actually based on Amrutha and Pranay’s love story and that they are only inspired by it. Taking the team’s plea into consideration, the court lifted the stay and gave the green signal for its release. The High Court ordered the filmmakers not to use any photos or videos of Pranay and Amrutha in the film.
