‘Bommarillu’ fame Siddharth once ruled the roost in both the Telugu-speaking states with back to back hit movies. He earned a good following among youngsters and women who drooled over his cute looks. Siddharth was an assistant director to Mani Ratnam before he debuted as an actor. His ‘Nuvvostanante Nenoddantana’ was a blockbuster that established his career in TFI. ‘Bommarillu’ went on to become an industry hit and Siddharth became the de facto choice for filmmakers who wished to make movies based on love stories. After ‘Bomarillu’, most of his films failed at box office and Siddharth went back to Kollywood to test his luck. He got mixed results there and even starred in Hindi and Malayalam films.
His last straight Telugu film was NTR’s ‘Baadshah’ where he played a guest role. After many years, he dubbed his Tamil film ‘Gruham’ into Telugu which became a decent success. He is currently busy with ‘Saithan Ka Bacha’, ‘Takkar’ and ‘Indian-2’. Filmnagar is abuzz that Siddharth has been chosen to play one of the lead roles in Ajay Bhupathi’s ‘Mahasamudram’. Sharwanand is playing the lead role in this emotional drama. Director Ajay is filming it after a two-year gap.
