‘Mahanati’ made Keerthy Suresh the sweetheart of Telugu and Tamil audiences. She is the rare combination of dazzling beauty and refined talent. Audiences and industry circles were confident that she would reach the numero uno position by featuring alongside top heroes in Tollywood and Kollywood. But fate has different plans in store for her. Keerthy has focused on lady-oriented films after ‘Mahanati’ which has kind of slowed down the march in the race game. Even though she acted alongside Vishal, Vijay, Suriya and Vikram, the movies turned out to be average or flops which haven’t helped her career. Her cameo appearance in Nagarjuna’s ‘Manmadhudu-2’ last year went largely unnoticed owing to its disastrous result.
Keerthy is now making the right moves by featuring in Mahesh Babu’s ‘Sarkaru Vari Paata’, Rajinikanth’s ‘Annatthe’ and Pawan Kalyan’s ‘Om Sivam’ (unconfirmed). Alongside these, her lady oriented films ‘Miss India’ and ‘Good luck Sakhi’ are also gearing up for release. Industry insiders say that the result of the lady oriented films might have a bearing on the star heroes’ films. This has become a cause of worry for Keerthy who is wishing to safeguard her brand equity. Keerthy is pinning her hopes on ‘Rang De’ with Nithin to rebrand herself as a bankable star. It is being directed by Venky Atluri who experienced a flop with Akhil’s ‘Mister Majnu.’
We wish her the very best and look forward to seeing her as the number one heroine.
