Thalapathy Vijay’s upcoming film Master is waiting to see the light for so long. This action thriller directed by Khaidi fame Lokesh Kangaraj has Vijay Sethupathi playing the antagonist’s role. Anirudh’s music topped the charts and Vijay’s fans are eagerly waiting for its release. While Malavika Mohanan is playing the female lead in Master, Andrea Jeremiah, Arjun Das, and Shanthanu Bhagyaraj are playing the pivotal roles.
Even though OTT giant Netflix offered a whopping price of Rs.100crores for Master’s streaming rights, the makers rejected the offer as they decided to release it in theatres. The teaser which was released on November 14th garnered 1.6 million views in just 16 hours and has crossed 47 million views on Youtube to date. The team is planning to release Master on January 13th on the account of Sankranthi and the trailer will come out soon.
After Master, Vijay has given his nod to act in a film directed by Nelson. It is produced by Kalanithi Maran under the Sun Pictures banner. Anirudh Ravichander is scoring the tunes for this multilingual project which is going to roll from February. It will be Vijay’s 65th outing.
