The Indian Space Research Organisation is all to set for the launch of a nanosatellite titled Satish Dhawan Satellite (SD SAT). As per reports, the Indian space agency apart from the names of 25,000 people, plans to send PM Modi’s name and Bhagavad Gita, considered to be the holy scripture for Hinduism, the world’s third-largest religion. ISRO said that the decision to send PM’s name was considered following his initiative of ‘Aatmanirbhar Mission’ as all components related to the satellite have been sourced indigenously under ‘Make in India’.
The PSLV C-51 is carrying the payload Amazônia-1 which is a satellite developed by Brazil and is mainly an earth observation satellite. The launch is scheduled to be held on February 28th (Sunday). Earlier, the launch of the satellite through the Brazilian VLS-1 rocket was cancelled.
