The GHMC elections results were thrilling. Though the TRS will claim the mayor post, the results were not as expected. The party had to face defeat in various divisions in which there were family members, VIPs and incharges.
Shock for top TRS leaders
Going by the results, the BJP has given a shock in most of the divisions where TRS ministers were incharges, except for Serilingampally where KTR was in incharge. In LB Nagar, the BJP had a clean sweep. The TRS was defeated in Gandhinagar where KCR’s daughter, former Nizamabad MP, and the current MLC Kalvakuntla Kavitha is in-charge.
- There are two GHMC divisions under the Maheshwaram Assembly constituency, which is represented by Minister Sabita. The BJP has won in bothy places including RK Puram, where Sabita has been in-charge.
- The TRS lost in a division in which Minister Srinivas Goud was incharge. Uppal MLA Subhash Reddy’s wife Swapna lost in Habsiguda.
- While, Srinivas Reddy, son-in-law of TRS candidate Naini lost in Ramnagar, where Maktal MLA Rammohan Reddy was in-charge.
- TRS lost in 3 places in Musheerabad where Minister Talasani was in-charge. TRS won one out of five and BJP won 6 divisions under this Assembly. Both TRS and BJP won three seats each in the Sanathnagar Assembly Constituency represented by Talasani.
- Another minister, Jagadeeshwar Reddy, who was in charge of the TRS in Saroornagar too lost.
- In the Jubilee Hills Assembly constituency represented by Maganti Gopinath, the TRS won 4, MIM 2 and BJP 1.
- Secunderabad is represented by Deputy Speaker Padma Rao. TRS won five places here.
- In Amberpet, TRS 2 and BJP won 3 out of 5 divisions where MoS for Home Affairs Kishan Reddy had lost earlier.
- TRS won 4 seats and BJP won one seat out of a total of 5 divisions in Khairatabad.
- There is a MIM MLA in Nampally. Here MIM did a clean sweep in six divisions.
- If you look at Malkajgiri, it can be said that it is a setback for Revanth Reddy. It is the largest constituency in the country. There are a total of 46 divisions. In all, the TRS won 26 seats, the BJP 18 and the Congress two. Although the BJP was not represented in Malkajgiri in the past, it has now won heavily.
- In Quthbullapur, the TRS won seven of the eight seats, while the BJP won one. Here the younger brother of Congress leader Kuna Srisailam Goud lost.
- In Kukatpally Assembly constituency TRS won 7 out of 8. The BJP won in one place. It can be said that MLA Madhavaram has retained his grip.
- The BJP won 11 of the 11 divisions in the LB Assembly constituency. This is a huge blow to TRS MLA Sudhir Reddy.
- Arekapudi Gandhi is the MLA from Serilingampally Constituency. KTR was in charge here. TRS won in nine and BJP won in one division.
- In Rajendranagar, the area of MLA Prakash Goud, the BJP won 3, MIM 2. While Prakash Goud’s younger brother Prem Das Goud lost in Mailardevpally.
- MIM plays a key role in Hyderabad. Elections were held for 44 divisions within this Parliament. MIM has had success in 31 places. BJP won 11, TRS 1. The BJP had won 3 seats in the past.
- MIM won 7 seats in Chandrayangutta represented by Akbaruddin Owaisi and carried out a clean sweep.
Four MIMs won 5 seats in Charminar while 1 came to BJP. - BJP MLA Raja Singh retained control of the Goshamahal Assembly constituency. Here BJP won in five and MIM in one division. In Karwan the MIM won 5 and BJP won 2.
